Refund policy

At Grow Your Own, we are committed to sustainability and believe in the longevity of our products. Our Planter Boxes are designed to be durable, but in the event of damage, we prioritize repair over replacement whenever possible. This policy outlines our approach to repairs, ensuring that we uphold our environmental values while providing excellent service to our customers.

damaged goods:
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the product is defective or damaged, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We will aim to repair the damaged good before replacing the product as per our warranty clause.

repair process: 

We will assess, repair, and, if necessary, replace products in accordance with this policy.

reporting issues

  • contact us: customers should contact our support team at hello@growyourown.com to report any issues with their product
  • provide details: when reporting, please provide your order number, a description of the issue, and photos.

assessment of damage

  • initial evaluation: upon receiving your report, our team will evaluate the issue to determine whether repair is feasible. this may involve asking for additional information or photographs.
  • repair eligibility: repairs are generally offered for issues such as minor cracks, loose components, or hardware malfunctions. repairs may not be possible for extensive damage or wear beyond practical repair.

repair procedure

  • repair offer: if repair is deemed appropriate, we will provide a repair plan detailing the necessary steps and timeframes.
  • repair costs: repairs will be conducted free of charge if the product is under warranty. for out-of-warranty products, we will inform you of any associated costs before proceeding.
  • turnaround time: we aim to complete repairs within 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the issue and parts availability.

replacement policy

  • replacement conditions: if a product cannot be repaired or the damage is beyond practical repair, we will offer a replacement. replacement is at our discretion and typically provided under warranty terms.
  • replacement process: if a replacement is necessary, we will arrange for the return of the damaged item and dispatch a new product.

warranty coverage

  • standard warranty: our planter boxes come with a 5-year warranty, lids (including watering system) 1 year and stands 5 years, covering manufacturing defects and issues arising from normal use. If one part of your product is damaged we will look at repairing before replacing.
  • exclusions: the warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return if you change your mind. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it,  unused, with labels, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Products sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

incorrect goods:
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

exceptions / non-returnable items:
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards (unless faulty or damaged).

exchanges:

If you wish to exchange your item for a different one, please contact us to discuss exchange options. You will be responsible for any price difference and additional shipping costs may apply.

refunds:
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 14 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

We reserve the right to update or modify our Refund and Return Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page.
