What are your products made out of?

Our products are made out of aluminium for a few important reasons. Its strong and light, rust resistant and can be recycled!

Where are your products made?

All of the Plant Where You Cant products are designed and made in New Zealand.

Can I choose a different colour to the ones you have listed on your website?

We offer custom colours for larger orders.

We use the Dulux powder coating range which means there are plenty of options to choose from. Click here to see the range.

Custom colours will have different lead times and potentially specific pricing.

'The Provider'

How do I put 'The Provider' together?

Don't stress, we have made the assembly process easy. You don't even need any of your own tools.

What is the cover made from?

Our cover is made from a cropsafe anti insect mesh. It is UV stabilised, lets air and water permeate and is food safe grade.

The zip is a high quality YKK Coil Chain zip and the thread that holds it all together is UV thread.

Is there a drainage system within "The Provider?"

The Provider has a drainage system built in to give your plants the best chance of success. The drainage system allows excess water to drain through the soil and ensure your plants don't drink too much.

Water that drains through the drainage system of 'The Provider' is held in the bottom of the planter. In the warmer months when your plants need moisture, the soil can wick the water from the bottom of your planter back through the soil.

Too much water in the reservoir? Use the drainage hole on the bottom to drain the reservoir. This water can be full of useful nutrients and you might want to save it for when your plants need a drink again.

How do I water my plants?

If you are lucky enough to have a cover for your planter, then you have a watering system built in. Simply connect your hose to the attachment on the side of 'The Provider' and mist your plants as they need it.

If you haven't purchased the cover - you'll need to manually water your plants.

Nature will do some of the work for you depending on where you live and how much rainfall you get. The cover reduces the damage of heavy rainfall as well.

How many bags of soil do I need?

You'll need 4-5 x 40L bags of organic or premium vegetable soil to fill 'The Provider".

What soil should I use in 'The Provider'

Its best to use an organic or premium vegetable soil that is readily available at any gardening store. To give your vegetables the best chance you can include Perlite or Vermiculite to ensure good aeration and moisture retention in the soil.

Is there enough room to plant bigger vegetables?

Its up to you what you plant. But we have designed "The Provider" to be deep enough to grow carrots, the cover is high enough to house a cherry tomato or a chilli plant and wide enough to plant rows of herbs and leafy greens. You'll be surprised what you can fit in 'The Provider'

Where should I put 'The Provider'?

'The Provider' is designed to live outdoors and allows you to Plant Where You Cant.

I think there is too much water in 'The Provider'?

If you want to control the amount of water in your planter, simply open the drain hole on the bottom and drain it out. The water you drain out can be full of useful nutrients, you can catch that water in a bucket and save it for later when your vegetables or plants need a drink again. Making sure they don’t lose the nutrients they need to grow.

Yes! there is a drainage tray which comes already installed in the 'Bench Top Baby'.

The Bench Top Baby is best suited for herbs, leafy greens or even smaller house plants.

I think I over watered my 'Bench Top Baby'

There is a little drain hole on the side of the 'Bench Top Baby'. If you think you've over watered your herbs or plants, simply place your 'Bench Top Baby' in the sink and take the bung out to let it drain.

Orders are packed and dispatched between 8am & 5pm Monday-Friday. We aim to have your order dispatched within 2 working days.

No, we do deliver for free within the New Plymouth city boundary.
