Product Warranty
Plant Where You Cant planter boxes (The Provider & Benchtop Baby) have a limited 2-year manufacturer’s warranty for sale within New Zealand. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. It does not cover damage resulting from:
- Improper use, installation, or natural wear and tear.
- Use of incorrect filling materials, such as low quality potting mixes.
Accessories including stands, cover and replacement parts have a limited 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship. These accessories are subject to the same exclusions listed above.
Exclusion of Liability for Plant Growth
Plant Where You Cant is not liable for any part of the growing process or the subsequent loss or damage to any crop or plant placed, grown or otherwise associated with the use of our products. Due to various factors such as individual growing conditions, pests, vermin, weather and other elements, we cannot guarantee any specific plant growth outcomes. As such, no warranties or guarantees are provided with respect to the success of your growing process.
Assembly Safety
Care must be taken during the assembly process.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our products during assembly when used according to the instructions. However, we are not liable for any injury resulting from improper assembly or misuse of the product.
Conditions that Void the Warranty
The warranty will be void where:
- Incorrect filling materials are used.
- Products are placed on unstable surfaces.
- Products are used improperly, installed incorrectly, or exposed to extreme weather.
- Use of the product as intended – growing of vegetables and plants.
This warranty does not cover:
- damage caused from improper installation, maintenance, or use;
- Fire, burns, cuts, accidents, vandalism, abuse, negligence or neglect;
- damage from animals, chemicals, or improper tools.
- Use of infill products of an incorrect type causing additional and accelerated wear to the product;
- Failure to monitor and/or maintain appropriate plants.
The Plant Where You Cant planter or its associated products being used other than for the purpose for which it was designed (growing vegetables and plants).
Minor Manufacturing Blemishes
No warranty claims are accepted by Plant Where You Cant for minor blemishes arising as part of the manufacturing process unless such occurrences exceed 5% of the total area of the product ordered by a customer. Such claims must be reported within 14 days of receipt.
Reporting Warranty Issues
Contact us at hello@plantwhereyoucant.com within 14 days of discovering an issue. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos.
Failure to provide complete information or submit your claim within the designated timeframe may result in denial of the claim.
General
This warranty is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Except to the extent otherwise provided in our terms and conditions, if any provision in this disclaimer is found to be unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms. For goods purchased for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply and any warranties or guarantees are limited to those provided in this document.
