At Plant Where You Cant, our ethos is rooted in blending sustainability with superior craftsmanship. Our planters are more than just garden accessories; they are a reflection of our dedication to environmental responsibility and local production.
Why aluminium?
Did you know that approximately 75% of all aluminum ever produced remains in use. Aaand recycling aluminium saves 95% of the energy needed to make new aluminium. Not only is the material sustainable and recyclable, the advantages of using it for outdoor products and planter boxes stack up as well. Aluminium is a light metal which keeps the cost of shipping down and makes it easier for everyone to assemble. Aluminium doesn't rust and is even more durable when its powder coated. There's a reason why new houses use powder coated aluminium for windows and joinery, it stands the test of time.
Its in the details:
The aluminium planters are only the start of the conscious decisions to use sustainable materials. The hose that is used in the watering system is actually Ecotube. Ecotube is made from part recycled polymers with close to zero waste manufacturing processes making it a great alternative to traditional hose. All of our packaging materials have been thoughtfully selected. Cardboard boxes and paper tape are the obvious ones but we have gone a step further. Inside the packaging you'll find honeycomb paper to protect the products. Honeycomb paper is fully recyclable and even biodegradable. You can put it in to your soil and it will degrade within 120 days. Even the packing slips are recyclable.
