What’s in the box:
- 1x Right Hand (RH) End Panel
- 1x Left Hand (LH) End Panel
- 2x Front/Back Panels
- 1x Base Tray
- 1x Drainage tray
- 8x End Bolts (They have the washers and wingnuts on the end of them ready to go)
- 1x Hose Connector
- 1x Elbow Joiner
- 1x Nylon Washer
Tips and Tricks:
- You don’t need any tools to assemble The Provider planter.
- The front and back panels are identical.
- One of the end panels has a hole for the hose connector (this will go at the top back right when you are looking at the planter. The drain hole in the base tray will be at the back left when you are looking at the planter).
- It’s important the panels are assembled the right way up, the front and back panels have holes on the top for the lid to attach. The end panels folds should look the same as the front and back panels.
- Make sure the arrow on each panel is pointing up during assembly.
- You'll need 4-5 bags of 40L quality vegetable soil to fill The Provider.
- Check out "Setting up The Provider" here once you've assembled The Provider which will guide you through what soil to use etc.
Step 1: Lay out your end panels and front and back panels. Peel the paper off the rubber seals on the end panels.
Step 2: Use two end bolts to attach a front or back panel to an end panel. The end panel overlaps on the outside of the front or back panel. Ensure the arrow on each panel is pointing up.
Step 3: The rounded head of the bolt goes on the outside and the wingnut goes on the inside. There will be one nylon washer on the outside of the box and one nylon and one stainless steel washer on the inside of the box. Carefully line up the holes on both pieces so the square part of the bolt locks in to the square holes.
Step 4: Repeat step 2 for all 4 corners of the box. Secure the wingnuts firmly so the panels are locked together snug. We want the rubber seals to squeeze together to help seal up your planter box.
Step 5: Double check the panels have been assembled up the right way and your bolts are tight. Check the hose connector hole on one of the end panel is at the top back right when looking at the planter.
Step 6: Grab the base tray and place it on a solid surface ready to insert the four panels that have already been assembled. The tape in the base tray is super sticky and once you insert the panels its not coming back out. The Plant Where You Cant logo on the base tray is the front of the planter. This will ensure the drainage hole in the base tray is at the back left when looking at the planter.
Step 7: Peel the paper off the tape in the base tray and lower the 4 panels into the base tray. It’s a snug fit so the base tray sides will help guide the 4 panels on to the tape. Remembering that once it touches the tape its not coming off so take care to line it up nicely.
Step 8: Apply some pressure around the bottom of the 4 panels to make sure it has made contact with the tape.
Step 9: Place the drainage tray inside the box. Lower one end in first to avoid scratching the box on the way in.
Step 10: Attach the hose fitting to the hole on the RH end panel. The brass hose fitting and the nylon washer will be on the outside, the joiner and elbow with the rubber washer and nylon washer will be on the inside. Tighten it firmly to seal it. Make sure the elbow joiner on the inside of the box is pointing upwards.
